Course Description
This course incorporates performance, composition, improvisation, and informal learning through popular music. Those interested in the teaching and learning of popular music are given the tools to inform their own their own craft of teaching, composing, songwriting, or performance through Modern Band instruments including guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals, and technology. By focusing on genres of music such as rock, reggae, country, pop and hip hop, this course engages students in making music through informal learning methods. No prior experience playing Modern Band instruments is necessary to successfully participate in this course.
